On November 17, 2024, Signature Medical Concierge in collaboration with the Westgrove Village Association, hosted a Basic First Aid, CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) Training Session. This event was part of Signature Medical Concierge’s commitment to promoting health education and preparedness through accredited First Aid Training programs.
The session was led by Dr. Daniel Luchangco, president of Signature Medical Concierge. Dr. Luchangco provided valuable insights and practical guidance on how to respond effectively to common medical emergencies. His expertise and clear explanations helped participants understand the importance of quick and proper action during emergencies.
The training included in-depth discussions on essential first aid procedures, such as treating wounds, handling choking incidents, and recognizing the signs of cardiac arrest. Dr. Luchangco also demonstrated how to properly perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and chest compressions using training dummies. Participants were also taught how to operate an AED device, an essential tool for reviving individuals experiencing cardiac arrest.
The highlight of the session was the hands on practice. Attendees had the opportunity to perform CPR, chest compressions, and use the AED on dummies, reinforcing their learning through experience. The interactive format made the session both informative and empowering, equipping community members with life-saving skills they can use in real-life emergencies.
