On August 16, 2025, Playworks Salcedo Campus partnered with Signature Medical Concierge to conduct a Basic First Aid and AED Training Session for teachers and several parents. This private course aimed to equip participants with essential life-saving skills and confidence to respond effectively during medical emergencies. The session was facilitated by Dr. Daniel Luchangco from Signature Medical Concierge, a professional organization accredited to provide a range of first aid training programs.
During the training, Dr. Luchangco shared valuable insights and practical guidance on how to handle common emergencies that may occur at school or at home. He explained the importance of immediate and proper first aid response and emphasized the crucial role of preparedness in saving lives.
Aside from the discussion, Dr. Luchangco conducted live demonstrations on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), chest compressions, and the proper use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). The highlight of the event was the hands-on activity, where participants practiced CPR and chest compressions on training dummies and used the AED device themselves.
The session was both informative and engaging, empowering participants with the knowledge and confidence to respond to emergencies swiftly and effectively, ultimately promoting a safer school environment.
